About AHA

Atlanta Health Associates, Inc. was established in 1993 by the late Keith Sikes, D.V.M., M.P.H. and Mary Yager, B.S. to perform Rabies Neutralizing Antibody Testing (Rabies Titer)  using the Rapid Fluorescent Focus Inhibition Test (RFFIT) for both human and animal specimens. Since that time this licensed laboratory has become the largest private testing facility performing RFFIT in the United States. It is currently under the directorship of Richard Newhouse, Ph.D.

Mary retired in August of 2021 and the company was purchased by Dr. Newhouse and Deborah McLean.

The Laboratory services include anti-rabies antibody level determination for clients such as:

Vaccine manufacturers including clinical trials and lot-release programs

Plasma collection organizations

Local, State, and Federal Public Health Departments

Veterinarians and their staffs

Please note that we do NOT do rabies titer testing for animal travel or export.
